H. RES. 111 UPDATE - 111th Congress

HRes 111 has been reintroduced in the 111th Congress. As of February 28, 2009, there were 72 co-sponsors. Although HRes 111 had 280 co-sponsors by March, 2008, during the 110th Congress, Speaker Pelosi did not allow this bill to be presented for a vote. Now that it is early in the 111th Congressional term, at the very least, we should be able to obtain the support of those representatives who were co-sponsors of HRes 111 during the 110th Congress. Obtaining a majority of co-sponsors early during the 111th Congress, which has a Democrat majority, may indule upon Speaker Pelosi to permit HRes 111 to be voted upon. We are confident that if HRes 111 comes up for a vote--it will be passed.
