Part 1:

Today, is the day to focus on the election. I no longer feel represented, do you? I served 20 years and was there in Saudi/Iraq for the first gulf war as a nurse on the border. I look at the campaigning going on once again in the USA and wonder when veterans needs will be addressed. We are a nation at war and have lost 3,000 to combat and yet how many of our current troops are already complaining of symptoms that are undefined. Why isn't America concerned?

Why have the gulf war veterans who have suffered and died in the last 16 years not being heard? We are at war and the soldiers currently serving are still being exposed to depleted uranium, the questionably safe anthrax vaccines are about to be given again in a mandatory nature, and the sand of Saudi/Iraq they still breath in with each breath they take while they try to avoid IEDs and snipers. Oh my America, where are the voices to say the Gulf War veterans have not been given answers and the system of this government has still denied through collusion to give them any truth.

We are in an election and hardly any of the candidates talk about real issues for veterans. I look at VFW magazine that just came and in the first few pages here its is Gulf War Veterans and Atomic Veterans are again given the shaft. But the media does not highlight that problem with any coverage at all and no real indepth reporting.

I think about the past 16 years through Democratic and Republicans and see no one has forced the issue! The soldiers are ill at a greater rate. Millions/Billons of dollars of taxpayer money was misspent and no one raises the issue. You see since 1993-4, the veterans of the Gulf War yelled, screamed, politely discussed the problem, and testified on the hill.

The problem is they funded fully every research study that was looking at psychological as a problem that was making the gulf war veterans ill. Well they were wrong but that is all those peer reviewed research that the IOM/NAS reviewed and did literature review on at the beckoning of the VA. Yes the VA was the agency that did the contracting to the IOM/NAS to ONLY review peer reviewed literature review! So you get the maze and the DOD/VA and the administrations have been at the center of avoiding finding the true causes of the gulf war illnesses. It was set up from the get go to not find answers of the environmental (chemical,DU) exposures. It was set up not to tell the truth!

It was garbage in garbage out!


The system for the VETERANS is broken and no candidate or incumbent raises the truth of what is happening to our current troops or our veterans that will affect their health for the rest of their lives. No media investigation to even help us get these issues to the American citizens.

How many veterans and troops and their expanded family and friend network are being represented by these elections?????
