This year the United States of America celebrates 240 years since our Founding Fathers courageously declared our nation's independence from Great Britain. The National Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans Coalition pays tribute to our brothers and sisters all across this great nation. Herewith is the song, "Mansions of the Lord," as sung by the West Point Military Academy Glee Club and the Metro Singers, along with the lyrics.
America remains free because of our veterans. We want to remember, also, our brothers and sisters who have made the ultimate sacrifice from the earliest days of our country to now. God Bless us...every one, and God Bless America!
To fallen soldiers let us sing,
Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing,
Our broken brothers let us bring
To the Mansions of the Lord
No more weeping,
No more fight,
No friends bleeding through the night,
Just Devine embrace,
Eternal light,
In the Mansions of the Lord
Where no mothers cry
And no children weep,
We shall stand and guard
Though the angels sleep,
Oh, through the ages let us keep
The Mansions of the Lord
Yours in brotherhood,
John J. Molloy, OSJ
